About Sally Sperry
I am a 1969 graduate of the University of Denver. I graduated with a degree in art and a degree in elementary education. I married and moved to Mount Vernon, Ohio where I worked as an elementary school teacher and then as the District Technology Coordinator. I received my masters degree from Ashland University in educational technology. In 2011 I retired and moved to southern Florida where I currently reside.
I have always loved photography. I have also always loved nature, finding it beautiful and fascinating. Now I finally have the time to put my love of photography and nature together. I spend my summers in northern Michigan on an island that is still mostly unspoiled by progress. During my winters in Florida, I am finding nature preserves everywhere. These places offer me a constant interaction with the world of nature.
My photography is a work in progress. I continue to experiment to find new perspectives from which to view the world. It is these new perspectives that I wish to share with others... a bug's eye view, the lens underwater or partially underwater. I am always looking for new ways to look at things and that is what makes it so much fun. The results are often surprising and exciting.
I have two wonderful children. My son, his wife and their children live west of Port Huron, Michigan. My daughter and daughter-in-law live in Boynton Beach, Florida. I have four terrific grandchildren. My blessings have been many and they just seem to keep coming.
